The Lotus Rooms at BAM-BOU
A Small & Sumptuous Private Members Bar With The Feel Of An Opium Den, Where The View of Fitzrovia Below Is The Only Clue That Baby, You’re Not in Hanoi Anymore.
BAM-BOU is an exclusive Oriental-themed restaurant-bar in NoHo by Caprice Holding set in a Georgian building that once hosted Ezra Pound’s Vorticist movement. For all its classy clientele and plush interiors though, it’s laid-back and fun, featuring Asian dishes in the restaurant. The staff deliver cocktails, whiskeys and wines to regulars seated at vintage stuffed sofas and the view of Fitzrovia below is the only reminder that this is London not colonial Hanoi. Tucked away at the
top of the house, however, is a collection of small, but sumptuous, interlinked bars and lounges providing the ultimate in Oriental opulence set up and run by Cenk Fikri. Rich red walls, blazing fires and secluded niches are perfect for snuggling up in at the end of a long evening. With its antique, gilt mirrors, sumptuous artwork, plush sofas and roaring flames, the decor is a warming mix of Vietnamese simplicity and tarnished French opulence.
